Ben Folds at the Opera House

We had such a fun time last night! After getting into our best clothes, we headed downtown for a late dinner and ice cream for dessert. We walked down to the harbor... as the water danced in the moonlight (it was very romantic). I wish I could have taken some pictures of the Opera house at night with the moon and the bridge in the background, but we did not bring our nice camera. Inside the Opera house is amazing, everything is so big, modern and sleek. When I made a visit to the ladies room, an older woman was giggling with excitement about how fancy and wiz-bang the bathroom was. We were a little early so we waited near our entry door... we could hear Ben Folds practicing! Before heading into the music hall everyone wrote their name and favorite song onto a little pice of paper. Then, before Ben came on stage a lady brought all the slips of paper onto the stage. It was just Ben and his piano nothing fancy... just my kind of concert. He did not have a set list of songs, he would just reach into the pile, call someone's name and play their favorite song. Neither of our names got called, nor did our favorite song get played, but it was still an amazing concert in a beautiful Opera House. The night ended with the luxury of a cab ride home!
