Paddy's Market
We spent the day at Paddy's Market! This market has been around since 1834 and was named Paddy's Market because it served the 30,000 male and 9,000 female convicts deported from Ireland. The modern Paddy's Market is hot, stinky, and full of vendors selling anything from "fresh" foods, clothing, and souvenirs to massages, wigs, and hair extensions. It can be overwhelming because there are often at least two stalls with identical merchandise (at different prices) scattered about. And they don't like to haggle, in fact one vendor tried to rip us off by giving us the wrong change. Tyler realized that they gave us $8 less than we were owed, and the lady magically knew she owed us $8 when we walked back to confront her. We have learned that it is best to go in with a game plan, otherwise you end up walking in circles!

... and what made them realize that being open on Wednesdays would be good? Is it common for places to be closed on Wednesday's.
it's like a farmer's market... they are not open everyday.
