30 weeks!

Only 7 to 12 more weeks and we get to meet our little boy! We had another doctor appointment on Tuesday and although we had to wait a long time, we were seen by a very nice doctor. We scheduled an ultrasound for February 11th (I will be 34 weeks) to check and make sure that Parker is on track to be a good size for birth. A little later in the day I got a call for a optional free ultrasound this Friday, as part of a research study. I am so excited to get to see my little buddy! Right now, Parker should be around 15 inches long and weigh somewhere between 3 and 4 pounds. If he were to be born now, he would have a 90% chance of surviving.

I have been having Braxton-Hicks contractions (practice contractions) several times a day regularly. Sometimes they feel like a quick, sharp tug and other times I cannot feel anything... but I can see my tummy getting tight and then releasing. It is so amazing how the body prepares itself for the big journey ahead! I am really looking forward to experiencing labor and birth!
