16 weeks

We went to the see our Dr. at the university health center today. I have been getting headaches almost every afternoon and wanted advice, since the medicines here all have different names, I have not felt comfortable taking anything. We found out that Panadol is the same as Tylenol. The best part was when we got to hear our baby's heart beating for the first time! It was very faint, but the best sound either of us had ever heard (145 beats per minute)! We also learned that our baby can now hear my voice; finally, I will have someone to talk to during the day!

P.S.
I'm so glad you were able to hear Bub's heart. It is very exciting. It's good you will have someone to talk to now...sing a few songs, too.

not the dreaded pregnancy headaches....oh, I am sorry. That is no fun. However, hearing a little baby heartbeat is so FUN! I would talk to Verity all the time...even driving in the car. Enjoy!

Kelly - tried earlier today to leave a comment but guess it didn't take - can't wait to talk to baby ourselves but in the meantime you can tell baby all the wonderful things about us!!! By the way how will you refer to us when talking to baby? Your folks already have the grandparents' names but I am not sure who we will be yet! I am thinking just Grandma and Grandpa - what do you think?

Congratulations on being pregnant, what a fun journey ahead of you. The pregnancy headaches lasted for a couple months (for me) and then disappeared, hopefully they will go away for you too!

I love finding new blogs, yours is great!, and with a baby on the way, I'll check back often! :)
